Mwaiwathu Welfare fund invites applications from suitably qualified persons to
fill the above-mentioned position. The position will report to the Chairperson
Welfare Fund.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Reconciliation for all bank accounts and other deposit accounts
- Ensuring that receipts for welfare fund are banked promptly
- Reconciliation and maintenance of the petty cash float
- Preparation of monthly income and expenditure reports for the fund to deadline.
- Preparation of Year End Accounts which can be audited by external auditors.
- Ensuring that monthly bank reconciliations are produced timely.
- Advisor to the Welfare Committee on Financial Matters
- Updating all records in Sage Pastel Accounting Software and filing of all
Welfare Fund documents.
- Advising the Chairman of all members who are defaulting on their loan repayments
- Preparation of monthly deductions list which will be delivered to the HRM timely
- Processing of all loan applications according to stipulated rules
- Resolving all matters relating to welfare loans
- Following up of all monthly recoveries and outstanding balances of employees who
have left employment.
- Any other duties assigned by the Welfare Fund Committee from time to time
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma in Accounting
- With at least 2 years work experience
- Computing skills, including ability to use Accounting software’s
(preferably Sage Pastel)
- Spreadsheets and word processing programs.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Effective organizational skills
