POSITION TITLE: Marketing & Communications Manager

1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF JOB

 

Scope: To market Mwaiwathu private Hospital new and existing services and products by developing and implementing marketing and communication plans; tracking patient growth data; maintaining promotional materials inventory and managing Service Level Agreements with major corporate clients.

 

Core Responsibilities: Will create and implement marketing plans for the hospital. In addition, will plan programs and events that build relationships between healthcare personnel and patients, as well as position the hospital’s products and services favourably in the healthcare market.

2. MAIN DUTIES

  1. In liaison with the Hospital’s Marketing Committee, drive and implement all marketing activities to ensure on-brand positioning and awareness across all aspects of the marketing mix as applicable to a MPH hospital environment
  2. Manage all aspects of marketing planning, budgeting, metrics and reporting
  3. Implement and leverage the latest marketing tools and technologies e.g. Hospital’s Website, Facebook pages and others
  4. Utilise critical market and competitive research to segment and define target markets, refine and improve the MPH Value proposition to clients
  5. Implement the best market penetration strategies
  6. Drive the Hospital’s Corporate Citizenship initiatives
  7. Develop and maintain long term relationships with existing clients with well-defined and implemented Service Level Agreements(SLA’s)
  8. Designing Hospital’s promotional material including brochures
  9. Posting and editing content on the hospital’s website

4. Education and Experience

  1. A University Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Corporate Communication or Public Relations or relevant subject
  2. Knowledge of Health Care services and products
  3. Experience of developing marketing and communication plans
  4. Problem solving abilities and a strong presence of mind
  5. Sound computing skills especially in excel and word
