Mwaiwathu Private Hospital invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Electrical/Refrigeration Technician tenable at the Hospital along Chileka Road in Blantyre.
Position Context
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, the Electrical/Refrigeration Technician will maintain general electrical equipment and handle repairs of electrical aspects of cooling and heating systems and installations for the Hospital.
Specific duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Addressing faults on all electrical equipment, cooling and heating systems timely
- Ordering equipment parts required in time
- Inspecting all the electrical, cooling and heating systems weekly
- Preparing and submitting reports weekly
Educational Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of Grade II National Trade Test Certificate in Registration and Air Conditioning.
- Malawi School Certificate of Education
Requisite knowledge, abilities and skills
- Ability to interpret electrical schedules
- Familiar with occupational health and safety measures
- Ability to work at odd hours
- Team player
- Physically fit
- Effective communication skills
- Mature
- Honest and trustworthy
