Mwaiwathu Private Hospital invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Operations Officer tenable at the Hospital along Chileka Road in Blantyre.

 Position Context

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Officer will lead and supervise the Operations Sections to ensure effective and efficient management of hospital equipment and facilities in liaison with the Heads of Departments.

Specific duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

•  Controlling and managing activities in the all Operations Sections.
• Designing operational processes and ensuring that they are working effectively.
• Ensuring that all hospital equipment and facilities are always functional and in order.
• Ensuring effective supervision of Maintenance and Operations Teams.
• Reviewing, drafting and implementing operations policies and procedures periodically.
• Preparing and implementing operations budgets.
• Preparing monthly and ad-hoc operations reports.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Bio-medical/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field •
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Hospital equipment and facilities management
•  Minimum 2 years of project management experience
