Mwaiwathu Private Hospital invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Plumber/General Fitter tenable at the Hospital along Chileka Road in Blantyre.
Position Context
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, the Plumber/ General Fitter will undertake general maintenance of the entire Hospital plumbing and metal work and ensure all sanitary equipment are good working condition.
Specific duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Ensuring that sanitary equipment and facilities are working properly.
- Ordering spare parts are on time
- Maintaining the gas, air and oxygen piping
- Managing the sanitary preventive maintenance program
- Ensuring that the safety standards and procedures of the hospital are followed
- Resolving faults and damage on sanitary equipment quickly to minimize disruptions
Educational Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum Trade Test Grade 1 in General Fitting and Plumbing
- Malawi School Certificate of Education
