The Out Patient Department (OPD) is where the specialists are based. The Department aims to provide specialised medical care at the convenience of patients and clinicians in a professional, caring and responsive manner and facilitates the needs of all clinical specialties.
The clinics run from 08.00hrs until 18.00hrs, Monday to Friday and 09:00hrs to 12:00 noon on Saturdays. The Outpatients Department has a team of nurses, patient attendants and administrative staff. A Unit manager oversees the day to day running of the department.
The nursing staff works very closely with the Consultants in providing a highly professional service to all patients.
Patients may be seen here either as self referral or as referred by general practitioners or other specialists. From the Out Patient Department patients are either treated as out patients or admitted to the wards.

There is an appointment system in order to facilitate the flow of patients. Appointments can be done by either phone or on-line
